Following this, the officers registered a case under Sections 27, 61, and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, which strictly punishes drug possession and consumption.

Later, the couple explained that they had come to Zirakpur to visit Aditya’s father, who is currently undergoing treatment at JP Hospital. However, the police are now investigating whether they brought the heroin with them or obtained it locally.
