It is almost time for summer vacation to arrive and you are wondering if this year will also be like all the others where you will sit at home getting bored, then do not worry my friends because in this article I am going to list down my favorite amusement park in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh has evolved into a very happening place over the years. You can spot various clubs, restaurants, and amusement parks at every other corner now. Summer vacations come once a year when you do not want to waste even a single moment by being a couch potato. So, go through this article and plan some fun activities with your friends and family.

Fun City Amusement & Water Park

Fun city amusement park, Chandigarh

Fun city as the name suggests is a very fun place to be and talking about the city, the place has everything that a normal city has to offer. You can find a plethora of fun rides outside and inside water as well. Whether you are a child or an adult, Fun City, Chandigarh has something for everyone. You know, it is quite obvious that you get hungry after you spend the whole day roaming around and taking different rides.

Do not worry about packing food with you because there are countless food options on the park premises. With that being said, in case you feel tired and want to extend your stay there, you can even get a luxurious room that comes with great amenities. Also, if you are visiting with friends then the park provides exclusive deals with great discounts.

The park has very versatile rides ranging from the ones for thrill-seekers to family rides with the fun factor making it one of the best amusement parks in Chandigarh. Now in 2024, the park has introduced boating and a 5D theatre which is included in the amusement park without any extra charges. Speaking from my own experience, I liked the Crusader, Columbus, and Orange River rafts the best of all.

Thunder Zone, Chandigarh

Thunderzone amusement park, chandigarh

Thunder Zone is not just an amusement park but a water park as well. Located just 15 minutes away from Chandigarh this huge park includes various water slides, pools with water as blue as the sky, and a kid’s zone. Thunder Zone is the best place to visit with friends and family for a day out. The rainwater dance floor is the best thing there is.

It is a hut-like spacious cabin where you can dance like nobody’s watching. The park has separate changing rooms for males and females with locker room facilities to store their belongings. And you do not even have to carry an extra pair of clothes because the park provides you with swimsuits which you can wear during your time in the Waterpark.

Thunder Zone Amusement Park in Chandigarh is a fantastic place to be with four large pools in the water park and some amazing backdrops where you can easily perfect images. Some of my favorite rides include Striking Cars, Baby Train, and Aerial Runway.

Aqua Village

Aqua village chandigarh

Aqua Village is one of the recently opened amusement parks in Chandigarh. The park features many rides and attractions with a very modern approach. This park is for people like me who like to try even the scariest rides.

As the name suggests, the park also has a waterpark. The waterpark contains five different pools making sure that there is enough space for everyone to play. It includes two concentric pools in the middle. There is also a family pool, a kid’s pool, and a wave pool which is the most popular of them all.

The water here is the cleanest of them all with the most courteous staff. You can play as much as you want because the park has deployed various trained lifeguards for your safety.

Aqua Village is a place that is a one-stop destination for everything whether you are with your family or planning a random outing with your friends, I am sure you will make memories for life here.

Hopup- Trampoline Amusement Park

Hopup trampoline park, chandigarh

Just 20 minutes away from Chandigarh, this amazing trampoline park is located in the city of Zirakpur. It was previously known as WOOP to some but now it is renamed as HOP UP! This place has got it all from bowling alleys to go-karting. It is a place full of entertainment and fun for people of all age groups.

To access the games, you need to get a card issued which is rechargeable. There are several arcade games, the claw machine being my favorite where you can win tickets that can be redeemed for various prizes.

This place has a lot to offer. I would advise you to go in the morning so that you can have an ample amount of time to play every game. However, as per my experience, the canteen could use some improvement by adding some more items to their menu.
