Summer vacations come once a year when you do not want to waste even a single moment by being a couch potato. So, go through this article and plan some fun activities with your friends and family.

Fun City Amusement & Water Park

Fun city amusement park, Chandigarh

Fun city as the name suggests is a very fun place to be and talking about the city, the place has everything that a normal city has to offer. You can find a plethora of fun rides outside and inside water as well. Whether you are a child or an adult, Fun City, Chandigarh has something for everyone. You know, it is quite obvious that you get hungry after you spend the whole day roaming around and taking different rides.

Do not worry about packing food with you because there are countless food options on the park premises. With that being said, in case you feel tired and want to extend your stay there, you can even get a luxurious room that comes with great amenities. Also, if you are visiting with friends then the park provides exclusive deals with great discounts.

The park has very versatile rides ranging from the ones for thrill-seekers to family rides with the fun factor making it one of the best amusement parks in Chandigarh. Now in 2024, the park has introduced boating and a 5D theatre which is included in the amusement park without any extra charges. Speaking from my own experience, I liked the Crusader, Columbus, and Orange River rafts the best of all.

Thunder Zone, Chandigarh

Thunderzone amusement park, chandigarh

Thunder Zone is not just an amusement park but a water park as well. Located just 15 minutes away from Chandigarh this huge park includes various water slides, pools with water as blue as the sky, and a kid’s zone. Thunder Zone is the best place to visit with friends and family for a day out. The rainwater dance floor is the best thing there is.

It is a hut-like spacious cabin where you can dance like nobody’s watching. The park has separate changing rooms for males and females with locker room facilities to store their belongings. And you do not even have to carry an extra pair of clothes because the park provides you with swimsuits which you can wear during your time in the Waterpark.

Thunder Zone Amusement Park in Chandigarh is a fantastic place to be with four large pools in the water park and some amazing backdrops where you can easily perfect images. Some of my favorite rides include Striking Cars, Baby Train, and Aerial Runway.

Aqua Village

Aqua village chandigarh

Aqua Village is one of the recently opened amusement parks in Chandigarh. The park features many rides and attractions with a very modern approach. This park is for people like me who like to try even the scariest rides.

As the name suggests, the park also has a waterpark. The waterpark contains five different pools making sure that there is enough space for everyone to play. It includes two concentric pools in the middle. There is also a family pool, a kid’s pool, and a wave pool which is the most popular of them all.

The water here is the cleanest of them all with the most courteous staff. You can play as much as you want because the park has deployed various trained lifeguards for your safety.

Aqua Village is a place that is a one-stop destination for everything whether you are with your family or planning a random outing with your friends, I am sure you will make memories for life here.

Hopup- Trampoline Amusement Park

Hopup trampoline park, chandigarh

Just 20 minutes away from Chandigarh, this amazing trampoline park is located in the city of Zirakpur. It was previously known as WOOP to some but now it is renamed as HOP UP! This place has got it all from bowling alleys to go-karting. It is a place full of entertainment and fun for people of all age groups.

To access the games, you need to get a card issued which is rechargeable. There are several arcade games, the claw machine being my favorite where you can win tickets that can be redeemed for various prizes.

This place has a lot to offer. I would advise you to go in the morning so that you can have an ample amount of time to play every game. However, as per my experience, the canteen could use some improvement by adding some more items to their menu.

Sacked Cop Gets Life Term for Woman’s Murder Body on Bench
ChatGPT Generated (Not a Real Image)

A Mohali court ruled that a sacked cop gets life term for woman’s murder, convicting dismissed Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Rashpreet Singh in a 2022 case. Along with life imprisonment, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 40,000. The verdict came after he was found guilty of murder and destruction of evidence, though rape charges were not proven.

The case dates back to November 13, 2022, when 23-year-old nurse Naseeb Kaur went missing from her paying guest accommodation. The very next day, locals discovered her body in a pond at Sohana village under suspicious circumstances. Investigators later confirmed that Rashpreet had known the victim for years and shared a close personal link with her.

On the complaint of the victim’s father, police initially registered a rape and murder case against an unidentified person. However, during the investigation, Rashpreet, a resident of Sector 86, came under suspicion and was arrested. Evidence ruled out rape but clearly established murder and an attempt to erase proof of the crime.

After examining witness statements and case records, the court held Rashpreet guilty on September 8. Today, it announced the final sentence. The judge observed that crimes committed by law enforcement officers not only violate the law but also erode public trust, demanding strict punishment.

With this ruling, Rashpreet Singh will now spend his life in prison. For the victim’s family, it brings a measure of justice, while for society, the sacked cop gets life term for woman’s murder serves as a stern warning against the misuse of power.

Mohali Lifestyle A Jewel in the Chandigarh Capital Region

Situated within the Chandigarh Capital Region, Mohali has rapidly developed into a key urban hub in Punjab. Known for its planned infrastructure and steady growth, Mohali lifestyle offers a seamless mix of modernity and tradition. Since the 1950s, the region has stood out for its urban planning, making it more than just a residential zone; it has grown into a thriving community where people enjoy both comfort and cultural vibrancy.

Education plays a central role in Mohali’s growth story. With Punjab’s literacy rate of 76.68% surpassing the national average of 74.04%, the state reflects its strong educational focus. Institutions like the Punjab Engineering College and the Indian School of Business anchor Mohali’s academic reputation, producing skilled professionals who fuel local economic progress.

Another defining feature is the city’s emphasis on cleanliness and sanitation. Chandigarh has often been recognized among India’s cleanest cities in surveys, and Mohali mirrors this commitment through active cleanliness drives, waste management systems, and public awareness campaigns. These efforts enhance public health while fostering sustainable urban living.

Urban planning has also propelled Mohali’s growth. With carefully designed sectors, green spaces, and modern facilities, the city attracts investments from businesses and real estate developers. Its proximity to Chandigarh adds to its appeal, allowing residents to enjoy metropolitan amenities while maintaining suburban comfort.

Culturally, Mohali thrives as a mosaic of Punjab’s heritage. Festivals like Baisakhi, local fairs, and authentic Punjabi cuisine highlight its rich traditions while reinforcing community bonds. This cultural vibrancy enhances the appeal of the city, making it attractive for families and professionals alike.

However, challenges such as congestion and sustainability demand attention. Authorities must balance growth with ecological preservation, strengthening infrastructure and expanding public transport to ensure the city’s livability in the years ahead.

In conclusion, Mohali exemplifies the progress of Punjab’s urban centers. Defined by education, cleanliness, cultural richness, and strong planning, the Mohali lifestyle blends modern amenities with traditional values. While challenges remain, the city’s spirit of innovation positions it as a model for sustainable growth and a symbol of contemporary Punjab.

Known for its modern planning and high quality of life, Mohali development has attracted widespread attention, boosting the city’s reputation as both a commercial and residential hotspot. Its close proximity to Chandigarh further enhances its appeal, making it one of the fastest-growing urban centers in northern India.

Originally conceived in the 1960s under the Chandigarh Urban Development Plan, Mohali transitioned from being part of the SAS Nagar tehsil to becoming a thriving city in its own right. Carefully planned infrastructure, industrial growth, and educational expansion transformed it into a magnet for families, students, and professionals.

The lifestyle in Mohali blends modern convenience with cultural vibrancy. Parks, shopping centers, and recreational hubs enrich daily life, while festivals and diverse cuisines reinforce community bonds. Residents enjoy both the pace of urban living and the warmth of Punjabi traditions.
