Best Street Food Corners in Mohali
Are you a die-hard foodie and like to explore new places to satisfy your taste buds? In this blog, I am going to list and inform you about some famous and underrated street food places in Mohali. Before I begin, though, keep in mind that this is just a list, and we are not ranking these places. With that in mind, let’s dive in and have a look at some of the street food corners in Mohali.
Guru Kripa Chaap Corner
My first recommendation is Guru Kripa Chaap Corner, operated by Kulpreet Kaur and Sardaar Angrej Singh. This couple makes one of the best cheap in all of Mohali.

Despite being a small street food place, they have plenty of variety, such as Hariyali Chaap and Afghani Chaap, among many more.
Here, you will also find plenty of Tikkas as well. For the ones looking to have a slightly healthier option as fast food, look no further than Guru Kripa Chaap Corner.
Guru Kripa Chaap Corner is located near the traffic lights in the Phase 7 market.
Doner Garden
For all those looking to have a taste of German cuisine in street food form, Doner Garden is the place for you all. One of the unique street food corners in Mohali has plenty to offer. With their specialty as doners, they also have great wood-fired pizzas and amazing french fries as well.

For all of you with a sweet tooth, Doner garden has plenty of cakes and ice creams. I would definitely recommend trying their Cheesecakes as they melt in our mouths.
Doner Garden is located in the 3B-2 market.
Behna da Dhaba
Although not technically a street food corner, Behna da Dhaba has plenty of street food items on its menu. To no one’s surprise, all of them are amazing. Behna da Dhaba is mainly famous for its super affordable and tasty buffet service.
This restaurant offers a 24 items buffet for the nominal price of just Rs 99.

Their Paneer tikkas are a must-try, and they also offer various chaaps as well. If you are looking for a bigger portion, I would certainly recommend trying their Amritsari Naans with chana as well.
They also offer combo meals such as garlic naan with dal. This restaurant also offers Chinese cuisine as well. Behna da Dhaba is located in the Phase 5 market.
Sardaar Ji ke Dahi Bhalle
If you are looking for sweet and savory street food, then dahi bhalla is one of the perfect street food corners for you. No one does dahi bhalla best than Sardaar Ji ke Dahi Bhalle. You can make out how good they must be just by knowing that they only serve dahi bhalla on their menu.

Despite being a small street food corner in Mohali, Sardaar Ji ke Dahi Bhalle is hired in many weddings for their dahi bhalla. This underrated Mohali gem is located in the 3B-1 market.
Swaad e Desi
If you are in search of a place offering street food, desserts, and chole bhature all in the same place, look no further than Swaad e Desi. This is one of the excellent street food corners that has almost all the street food Punjab has to offer under one roof. Swaad e desi is famous for its Gol Gappas, Chole Bhature, and Rabri with Jalebi.

Another amazing service this place offers is amazing sitting. Despite the amazing setting, you would not feel like you’re in a fancy high-end place as they have designed the place in a traditional street food style.
Despite being one of the proper restaurants on my list, Swaad e Desi has very affordable prices, as most items on their menu cost less than Rs 100. Swaad e Desi is located in the 3B-2 market.
Bombay Pav Bhaji
If you are looking to have a taste of proper Maharashtrian street food in Mohali, Bombay Pav Bhaji is the place to go. Again, you can make out how good they do the Pav Baji that they don’t feel the need to include any other item on their menu.
One thing that helps in getting the authentic Maharashtrian taste in their Pav Bhaji is that their owner used to live in Maharastra for many years.

Although they only have Pav Bhaji on their menu, Bombay Pav Bhaji does offer various versions of Pav Bhaji, such as Cheese Pav Bhaji and Paneer Pav Bhaji, among others.
They also sell their handmade Pavs in case you want to try making them at home. Bombay Pav Bhaji is located on the back side of the 3B-2 market.
Chaat Studio
Another amazing street food corner in Mohali is Chaat Studio. Chaat Studio has all your major Punjabi street food items in addition to having both Chinese and South Indian dishes as well.

In the market for almost a decade, this street food corner in Mohali is famous for its amazing chaats and Chinese platters.
Their Papri Chaat, Gol Gappe, and Chinese platters are a must-try. In case you are looking for a proper meal or thalis, Chaat Studio has you covered for that as well. I would advise avoiding the peak evening timings are this place does tend to get crowded during them.
Chaat Studio is located in the sector 67 market, Mohali.
Kesar Milk near Pal Dhaba
Anyone who has ever been to Amritsar has a longing for Kesar milk. Unfortunately, they are not easily available in Mohali, but I was able to locate a Kesar Milk stall in Mohali.
Located just in front of the popular Pal Dhaba, this bubbling hot kesar milk will make you nostalgic about the time spent in Amritsar.
The presentation is also amazing as rather than using low-quality plastic or paper cups, they use kullads. This is also easier on the hands as the milk is generally near boiling temperature. Their Khoya Kesar Milk is a must-try.
This stall generally opens around 4 PM, so you can plan your visit accordingly. This stall is located just in front of Pal Dhaba in the 3B-2 market.
Shawarma Stall
For all of you looking for a taste of middle eastern street food, I have got a recommendation for that as well. Shawarma Stall has one of the best chicken shawarma in Mohali.
The chefs do a great job of bringing the taste of the middle east with their preparation work before actually cooking.
The chicken used to cook shawarma is marinated for more than 3 hours before its cooked. They also use the traditional verticle grill for cooking the chicken.
Their prices are very affordable as well. The whole shawarma platter costs just Rs 124, while the shawarma roll is for Rs 60 only. Another thing that makes it taste even better is their green mint chutney with a perfect blend of spicy yet not too harsh on the tongue.
This amazing Shawarma stall generally opens around 5 PM. It is located in the 3B-2 market just in front of MGM Paints and Hardware store.
Katani Dhaba
Anyone living in Mohali tricity will be well aware of my next recommendation. Katani Dhaba has been in business for almost 2 decades now, and their quality has remained the same, if not better. With more than 8 stores in Tricity only, Katani Dhaba is well established.
Though mainly famous for its main course meals, Katani dhaba also offers many amazing street food items as well. Katani dhaba has a great selection of Chinese street food items as well, with their dry Manchurian being extremely good. They also offer many amazing chaaps as well.

One of the best aspects of this Dhaba is its sitting facility. They have ample seating and are really good for family outings. The service is also very fast, which makes it ideal for a family dinner or a normal quick evening snack.
Katani dhaba also has many desserts available as well such as kheer, hot gulab jamun, and many more. One thing to keep in mind is their desserts generally change seasonally as well.
As mentioned above, Katani Dhaba has 8 stores in the Tricity area, so it makes more sense to find the closest branch to your address. However, Mohali is one of the best street food corners and is located in the 3B-2 market.
Hoshiarpuria
My final recommendation for a street food corner in Mohali is Hoshiarpuria. This mouth-watering street food serving shop has been in the market for more than a decade and has always been highly reputed in that time. The restaurant has all kinds of Punjabi street food available.

They also have some western fast-food items such as Burgers and pasta as well. Hoshiarpuria has an amazing selection of sandwiches as well. Almost all the items on their menu are amazing, but I would certainly recommend their Samosa with Chana, Noodle burger, and Chana Bhatura.
Hoshiarpuria also has its own bakery, so you can try their homemade bread and cookies as well. As far as Hoshiarpuria is located in the 3b-2 market.
Final words
With that comes the end of my recommendations for the best street food corners in Mohali. With many different types of cuisines available, Mohali has one of the best street food places in the country.
Here you get to experience one of the best Punjabi street food cuisines all around the world. From German to Middle Eastern, all types of street foods are available in Mohali. Surprisingly enough, despite being of top quality, the prices are very affordable.
Hopefully, with my recommendations in the blog, you will be able to taste all this amazing street food and experience one of the best things Mohali has to offer.

RSS Leader’s Son Shot Dead in Ferozepur: Woman Arrested for Sheltering Shooter
An RSS leader’s son shot dead in Ferozepur has triggered a major investigation, with police making multiple arrests in the case. Naveen Arora, a 32-year-old shopkeeper, died after two unidentified motorcycle-borne attackers shot him on November 15, 2025. The victim’s father, Baldev Raj Arora, has been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for many years.
The incident occurred around 7 pm on Saturday evening near Sadhu Chand Chowk. Specifically, Naveen was walking from his dupatta shop in the main bazaar to his residence when the attack happened. Additionally, the assailants fired at him near Baba Noor Shah Wali dargah before quickly fleeing the scene.
One bullet struck Naveen in the head. Consequently, family members rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Furthermore, the family initially refused cremation, demanding justice for their son.
Naveen’s grandfather, the late Dina Nath Arora, had also been a senior RSS leader in Ferozepur. Therefore, the family has deep roots in the organization spanning multiple generations. Meanwhile, Naveen himself served as an RSS volunteer alongside running his business.
Senior police officers, including SSP Bhupinder Singh and Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Sukhwinder Singh, reached the spot immediately. Moreover, they formed multiple teams to identify and trace the suspects. Subsequently, police began scanning CCTV camera footage from nearby establishments to ascertain the identities of the killers.
The investigation has revealed several important developments. First, police arrested three persons in connection with the conspiracy: Jatin Kali, identified as the alleged mastermind, along with Kanav and Harsh. However, the main shooter, Nachhatar Singh from Jalandhar, remained at large initially.
In a significant breakthrough, Ferozepur police arrested a Ludhiana woman named Bhavna on November 23, 2025. Police sources revealed that she provided shelter to Nachhatar Singh after the murder. Additionally, she allegedly helped him flee after the crime. Consequently, authorities registered a separate case against her under the relevant sections.
Bhavna, daughter of Ashok Kumar and resident of Tibba Road in Ludhiana, is currently in custody. Furthermore, interrogation is underway, with investigators hoping for major breakthroughs. Police believe she played a crucial role in the escape plan.
SSP Bhupinder Singh explained the complexity of the case during a press meet. He informed media persons that the conspiracy appears far more organized than initially thought. Specifically, Jatin Kali allegedly orchestrated the plan for a payment of just ₹60,000-65,000. However, arranging professional shooters from Jalandhar and safe houses in Ludhiana points toward a larger network.
Investigators remain baffled by the sophistication of the escape plan. Therefore, they suspect involvement of an established gangster or influential outsider who provided logistical support and funding. Despite intensive raids, police have not apprehended any major gangster so far, deepening the mystery.
The murder triggered widespread anger among local traders and RSS workers. On Sunday, following the incident, markets wore a deserted look. Subsequently, shopkeepers closed their establishments completely on Monday, demanding immediate arrest of the assailants.
Heera Sodhi, a senior BJP leader from Ferozepur, confirmed the market closure. Similarly, senior RSS functionary Ashwani Dhawan urged authorities to take strict action against the perpetrators.
Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar strongly criticized the state government over the incident. He alleged that gangsters are running a parallel government in Punjab. Additionally, he claimed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has failed to fulfill his responsibilities.
Jakhar stated that people of Punjab are being forced to live in an atmosphere of fear. Moreover, he alleged that the AAP government has completely failed to maintain law and order. He also claimed people receive threats and extortion calls every day.
Ranbir Singh Bhullar, AAP MLA from Ferozepur City, met with Naveen’s family members. Furthermore, he assured them of strict action against the accused. Meanwhile, SSP Bhupinder Singh also met the Arora family on Saturday evening, promising swift action.
Punjab BJP working president Ashwani Sharma condemned the murder, saying it was neither the first nor an isolated incident. He emphasized that a spree of murders targeting businessmen, athletes, youth, and common people raises serious questions about the government’s working style.
Union Minister of State (Railways) Ravneet Singh Bittu also reacted strongly. He described the murder as brutal and said it has shaken not only the Arora family but the entire Punjab. Additionally, he emphasized that people are feeling increasingly unsafe and need tougher action.
Police officials have assured that the arrest of the remaining accused, including Nachhatar Singh, is only a matter of time. Furthermore, they promised that the full conspiracy will soon be unraveled. Investigators continue gathering evidence through CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts.
The RSS leader’s son shot dead in Ferozepur case continues developing, with authorities working intensively to bring all perpetrators to justice and uncover the complete network behind this organized crime.

Sacked Cop Gets Life Term for Woman’s Murder: Body on Bench
A Mohali court ruled that a sacked cop gets life term for woman’s murder, convicting dismissed Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Rashpreet Singh in a 2022 case. Along with life imprisonment, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 40,000. The verdict came after he was found guilty of murder and destruction of evidence, though rape charges were not proven.
The case dates back to November 13, 2022, when 23-year-old nurse Naseeb Kaur went missing from her paying guest accommodation. The very next day, locals discovered her body in a pond at Sohana village under suspicious circumstances. Investigators later confirmed that Rashpreet had known the victim for years and shared a close personal link with her.
On the complaint of the victim’s father, police initially registered a rape and murder case against an unidentified person. However, during the investigation, Rashpreet, a resident of Sector 86, came under suspicion and was arrested. Evidence ruled out rape but clearly established murder and an attempt to erase proof of the crime.
After examining witness statements and case records, the court held Rashpreet guilty on September 8. Today, it announced the final sentence. The judge observed that crimes committed by law enforcement officers not only violate the law but also erode public trust, demanding strict punishment.
With this ruling, Rashpreet Singh will now spend his life in prison. For the victim’s family, it brings a measure of justice, while for society, the sacked cop gets life term for woman’s murder serves as a stern warning against the misuse of power.
