The museum covers the period from Guru Hargobind Singh Ji, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji, and tells the tales from the Kargil Operations. This famous attraction of Amritsar is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 05:30 PM and is closed on Monday and public holidays. There is also an entry fee of Rs. 100 per person for visiting the museum.

2. Virasat-e-Khalsa, Anandpur Sahib

This museum was earlier called Khalsa Heritage Memorial Complex. Situated in the serene town of Anandpur Sahib, this museum is a celebration of Sikh heritage and culture.

The museum is one of the popular museums in Punjab and is designed to commemorate 300 years of the Khalsa Panth. It also features 500 years of the history of Sikhism. This museum came into existence on November 27, 2011, and exhibits all the facts about the origin of Sikhism. 

There are mainly two complexes of the museum which are linked by a ceremonial bridge. The design of this museum is quite unique and attracts tourists to witness the rich culture and history of Sikhs. The museum is open from 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM from Tuesday to Sunday and is closed on Monday and public holidays.

3. Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, Amritsar

The place at which this museum is currently located was earlier the summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. In 1977, it was changed to the Museum and exhibits facts and history related to this popular Monarch of Sikhs.

The museum is open the whole week from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM and closed on public holidays. There is also an entry fee to visit the museum which you have to buy from the main entrance of the museum.

4. Sanghol Museum, Fatehgarh Sahib

Sanghol Museum came into existence on April 10, 1990, and has been operated by the Government of Punjab. This place is also called Ucha Pind by the native people of the area. The pillars and sculptures attract visitors from different places to visit this amazing place. 

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 04:45 PM and is closed on Monday.

5. Punjab Agricultural University Museum, Ludhiana

The museum is reserved for maintenance on Mondays. The entry fee for this museum is also quite reasonable.

7. Jallianwala Bagh Memorial, Amritsar

The Jallianwala Bagh Memorial in Amritsar stands as a testament to a dark chapter in India’s history. This somber site commemorates the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Here, hundreds of innocent lives were lost during British colonial rule.

FDP Login (Applying for STC)

Faculty Development Programmes are the same as short-term programmes. You can apply for these short-term courses by the following steps:

  1. Create your account through one-time registration from the official website
  2. Verify your contact number through OTP.
  3. After login, you have to click on Apply for STC in the left panel.
  4. Fill in the specific details to search for the course.
  5. Apply for the course you want. 
  6. Download the application form. Take out a copy and get it signed by the authority.
  7. Upload the form under the Upload Sponsorship Menu.
  8. A confirmation will be sent to you.
  9. Join the online/offline courses.
  10. You will receive a certificate after completing the course.
